Moxibustion
Some treatments involve “warm needling” where points/needles are warmed by the burning of herbal preparations on or near the body.

Cupping
The use of warmed glass jars to create suction on certain points of the body. Offered during an acupuncture treatment to boost therapeutic effect.

Tui Na
Tui Na is Chinese massage occasionally added to an acupuncture treatment for time duration of 5-10 minutes. Treats musculoskeletal issues.
Community Acupuncture

Community acupuncture is now available at Needle in a Haystack by appointment or walk-ins welcome. We have four zero gravity chairs setup together in a sunlight filled room. No intake necessary. We use a treatment protocol chosen to harmonize internal organs and improve vitality. It is a great way to try acupuncture and maintain balance in mind, body, and spirit.

Herbal Consultation

Herbal formulas are often prescribed to patients after acupuncture treatment, but for patients who are only interested in herbal treatment one-hour herbal consultation appointments are available.

Dietary therapy involves a complete review of one’s weekly menu coupled with suggestions for dietary changes to aid in the healing process. One-hour appointments available upon request.

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial acupuncture improves skin tone and elasticity while reducing the appearance of fine lines and improving complexion. Patients also report digestion, stress, and sleep improved after treatments

Tai Chi or Qi Gong

Patients may be instructed during a treatment to perform certain exercises which combine movement with meditation at home to retain balance and wellbeing in the interim between treatments.
